Black and White Challenge

Morning everyone……..”Ding” ……the ding is for Marie!! lol!

This week has flown by.  I still haven’t taken the Christmas tree down yet!  It ooks so pretty.  It looks bare when it has gone.  My project this year is to redecorate the house so hopefull I can fill the gaps…..”if there is a space then I will fill it” lol!

Anyway enough of my ramblings and back to crafting.  This weeks Addicted to Stamps and More challenge theme is Black and White.

Here is my little inspiration piece.  I was stumped at first so I thought of everything I could think of that is  black and white….music, piano keys, clocks, black script, motor racing flags.  That is about as far as I got until I thought of Harlequin Diamonds and Pierrot, so I went with that.

Copy of DSC_0002I stamped my little “Pierrot character and background building” image onto white card stock, masked it and then stamped over it with the harlequin diamonds.  I removed the mask, trimmed it and then added some DIs around the edge.  I then attached this to a piece of black card which is just slightly larger in size.   I placed this image square onto another piece of white card, drew around it in pencil, removed the image and then stamped the “masquerade masks” using the pencil lines as a guide.  I then rubbed out the pencil marks.

I stamped just the pierrot three times onto white card, cut it out in layers and then decoupaged him up.  For the last layer, just his head, I added some diamond glaze around his cap.

I stamped “dream” onto a piece of white card, smudged it all lol!,  so then stamped the dots all over it. I then went around the edges with some DIs and layered it onto a piece of black card.

Stamps used: Harlequin Diamonds – Crafty Individuals.  Pierrot character, Dream and Mask  are from Chocolate Baroque.  Saying that, I think the CB stamps have now been retired. Not sure.

Happy Crafting and take care.

This is fabulous Florence!! Love all the extra detail and the layering of the harlequin image. Just absolutely gorgeous. Love how you turned your smudge into a perfectly fitting sentiment piece. Hugs D

Your card is brilliant! You are really creative and this card is really inspiring. The decoupaged harlequin has wow-factor! 🙂 (I’ve been watching too many episodes of storage wars, I wonder if you know the show… nothing to do with war, it’s about auctioning storage units, there’s this one guy who is always looking for the wow-factor… anyways. 🙂 )

    Stay warm!
