Addicted to CAS challenge #5

Morning everyone,

I had to re-check that  it really was time again for the Addicted to CAS challenge. This challenge runs fortnightly.  Where did the weeks go.  I can’t believe it has been two weeks already!

Without further ado I had better get on.  This weeks ATCAS challenge code word is “Heart” and the challenge is being hosted this week by my lovely fellow DT member Loll over in Canada.  If you have not seen Loll’s blog before, do pop over and have a look at the wonderful cards that she makes.

Lots of scope as always for this challenge. What does the word Heart mean to you.  Maybe you are in the middle of making Valentine Cards.  Hearts and flowers maybe or a heart shape card. The choice is yours.

For full details of the challenge, to see the amazing inspirational pieces by the DT and to join in the fun please click here.

Ok, I went for sweet “heart” neckline for this weeks challenge and here is my little CAS card.

I stamped the dress onto some cardstock, masked it and then spritzed it with some spray inks.  Leaving the mask on I stamped the script.  When it was all dry and the masks removed I coloured the dress and stamped the postage mark.  I then just mat and layered it.  The colours aren’t really true on this.  The card that looks red is really a lovely darkish plum colour but hey ho! Nothing in life is perfect.

That’s about it from me today.
Thank you for calling in.

  1. Hi Florence,

This is a beautiful, very female card. And creative way to use the code word.
The thing I love most about your card is the postage mark. That is my “punctum” – the thing that catches my eye and gets me connected. Good choice!

  2. Hiya, I have no Internet !!!! It’s taken me four hours to post one comment !!!!!! love your clever card such a beautiful stamp that and great thinking too. The colouring is so delicate Florence just adorable.

  3. Hi Florence. A great interpretation of the word heart … love that dress! Your coloring is amazing and the lovely script background really makes the dress pop. Loll xx

  6. Super clever of you to think outside the box and come up with the sweet heart idea – I love the background stamping and flecks on your card.

  7. Wonderful card Florence! That dress is one of my all time favourite stamps, one of the first I bought too!
    Have a great week,

    1. Hi Alison. Hope all is well. I have to tell you. This stamp was given to me by Chica Andaluza for Christmas. She wont mind me saying this but she gave me a whole carrier bag of stamps that she bought at a car boot. I can’t stop playing around with this one. Isn’t it funny. We spend a fortune on stamps and then you have a stamp second hand or from a bargain bucket and it just takes your fancy. Thank you for calling in.

  9. Hello Florence
If you have noticed an absence in my comments on your Blog let me tell you that I haven’t received any notifications!
Believe it or not I was planning on dropping you a wee e-mail to see if you were okay. Moments ago I was commenting on the lovely Alison’s Blog and noticed you had left a comment for her.
So glad all is well with you. Have no idea why I haven’t been receiving any e-mail notifications of your posts.
Anyway, here I am now to say this is incredibly beautiful and so creative to pinpoint the sweethear necklace.
