Hoppy Bunny Day

Morning, morning!

It’s time for another Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge for you to join in.  This weeks challenge theme is “Stamping”.  We are asking you to include Stamping in your project this week.  To see full details of the challenge, the wonderful inspirational pieces by the DT and to join in the fun please click here.

For my little DT piece I have gone for a rabbit themed card.  a) because I love little bunnies and also b) because I thought I could use this card for Easter.

I had a rummage through my stamp file and chose this little rabbit stamp for this card.   I stamped my rabbit onto coated card stock using black archival ink.  I masked the rabbit and then used some small flower stamps around him to give a meadow effect.  I used some DIs and a paint brush to colour the images in.  I did make a mistake and coloured in the leaves on one of the flowers purple…. eye sight is definately going! lol!

I also spotted, in my stamp file, a large daisy stamp and some  leaf stamps.  I thought the larger of the leaves looks a bit like dandelion leaf.  I just stamped these onto coated card stock, cut them out, coloured them and decoupaged them up using foam tape onto the frame.  The frame was made using dies.

Thank you for stopping by. It is always great to have your company.

Happy crafting and take care.

Florence x

    • Hi Vanessa! Lovely to hear from you. Hope all is well. One of the main things I love about masking is that you can get more life out of your stamps by adding things on and updating the images. Just to share. I use Judikins masking tape.

  2. Lovely little Spring card Florence, I like the frame, offcuts from a Spellbinders Label 17 by the looks of it!! I really need to go and get my eyes tested, I know I now need glasses for close up but have been putting it off!

  3. Hi Florence. This is just a great card. I love how you used daisies to frame around that darling bunny. I have a bunny of sorts that lives in a big bush in right out my front door. It’s really a huge Hare (jack rabbit) about the size of a small dog. Scares the daylights out of me sometimes when it jumps out and runs off. Not nearly as cute as your bunnie – which I rather prefer. Hugs D

  4. Hello, Florence..
What a marvelous, happy spring card! I have occasionally had the privilege of seeing that same little rabbit in the yards as I took my morning walks. I love the colors you used, and I don’t seem to notice the purple leaf…col…what does that tell you?

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your funny comment. After reading your post with the comment about your eyes, I really had to chuckle.

    Blessings for more creative wonders,

    • Hi Chrissie. We thought Spring is just around the corner but when we got up this morning it was white all over. There was a terrible thunder storm last night but no rain just snow. Winter is back!
