Two cuties – Card Making

Hi everyone

This weeks challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More is Addicted to CAS #44.  To see full details of the challenge, the wonderful DT pieces and to join in the fun please click on the link above.

Not so many entries for the colour challenge last week.  Where were you all.?  Ok, who had a party and forgot to invite us?? he he!!

Back to this weeks ATS&M challenge.  I have made two little cards for this weeks challenge.

For my first card, I was thinking about the little photo booths, y’know the ones where they take pass port size photos and you usually pull funny faces at the camera.  Did you ever go in those as a child.  They seem to take ages to go off.  You wait, and wait and then just as you move to see what the problem is the flash goes off and takes a close up picture of your nose or in Maria’s case nostril hair!! lol!

I took a piece of black card and punched three squares equidistant apart.  I punched small holes down each side of the card.  I then placed this over a piece of white card stock and drew in pencil around the squares to give the stamping postions on the white card.  I stamped my image at different angles and coloured them in.   I then just mat and layered.

This is my second card and which I am dedicating to our lovely boss Kylie  who does an incredible amount of work, in her own spare time,  behind the scenes to bring these challenges to us.  So this ones for you my little Koala-Lumpa!! he he!

This stamp is so old.  I have had it for….emmm,  must be over 18 years .  It was one of the first stamps I ever bought.

I stamped onto coated cardstock using black archival ink and coated cardstock and coloured the image using a damp paint brush and some ink from my felt tips.  I added some little lines of grass, using an archival micron pen,  just to ground the Koala.

Stamps used: wood mounted acrylic – Koala Swag  – Stamp IT (WA).  The script is from Joanna Sheens Holly Pond stamp sheet. Little butterflies – Chocolate Baroque.

We hope you will join us and have some fun with this challenge and we can’t wait to see all of your projects.

Don’t forget the Addicted to CAS code word Rainbow challenge is also running at the moment and you still have plenty of time to join in that if you have not already.

A huge thank you to my blogging friends who have been leaving comments on my blogs lately.  You know who you are.   You are so very kind.  I will be around for a catch up asap.  Pop the kettle on.  I will bring the cake!!

Tat tar for now.  Happy Crafting everyone.

Best wishes Florence x

Fantastic cards Florence. The photo booth one is just so much fun-deserves a challenge all on its own lol.

We did have a party as my daughter and son-in-law came Friday to Tuesday and I changed crafts whilst they were here and helped her design a new patchwork quilt. Will try to join in this week but I really am not good at CAS at all-I’m more ya PIO-AH type–Pile it On-and hope!

    Have a wonderful day

    Love Chrissie xx

Hi Florence, it’s very creative how you have made the photo booth pictures and the little girl’s happy face made me smile. The koala bear is so cute, love his outfit! It’s good sometimes to use a stamp we’ve had for a while. Sue x

I adore both of your cards! Especially the first one as the little girl stamp reminded of my little sister at a young age! Can you tell me who makes that stamp? Thanks!

Hi Steph. Thank you for calling in and for your lovely comments. The stamp is a wood mounted stamp. I have had it years but I have just checked. It is a Jane Bentley design by Little Rascals. It is available at Creative Expressions The ref number is p/N:JB3F. Hope this helps. There are a few in the series. I have the little cricket and and footballer. Have used them loads over the years. Here is the link http://www.creative-expressions.uk.com/ click on products and you should find it.
