Going over to digital – Card Making

Hi everyone

As most of you know I am a rubber stamper but last week I was introduced to the charming Ignacio Malino and his products at Nicecrane Designs .  My head has definately been turned.  They are the most exquisite digital images I have seen.

I have not stopped crafting with these  images  (Ref The Charming of M – L.A. Attwell CS) since I purchased them.  I just wanted to share a couple of the cards I made using these black and white images.

This is one of my favourite images….so far!  I printed off the black and white image (never thought I would say those word) and coloured it in using some inks from my felt pens and a damp paint brush.  I then just aged it slightly with some distressing ink.

I used some dies to make the flowers and leaves and just added a little D. ink around the edges to age them.

All that was left to do was to mat and layer all of the pieces.

The image sheet I used is this one.

Here is my second card off this particular digi sheet

Isn’t she such a darling!  Again, all I have done to make this card, is print the image out, coloured it with ink and a paint brush.   I stiched my image onto some green backing card.  Again using dies I cut out the flower and leaves to make the floral embellishment.

I cut out some pretty papers and just mat and layered.  I then added some buttons which I have attached using diamond glaze.  Ok, before anyone tells me, I need to alter the tension on my sewing maching!!  I was just too excited and having fun with these to start messing about with it.

Nicecrane Designs are based here in Cadiz in Southern Spain.  To see the full range of  their products please click HERE.  Seriously grab a cup of coffee before you visit because there is so much eye candy to see.   One tip I would like to share with you is that, when you are looking,  if you see an image you like make a note of the category it is under (ie., the above image is under Famous Illustrators) and also the relevant page number.  Makes life a lot easier when you go back to have another look at the image.  This isn’t a complaint but there really are  so many to choose from you will not be able to decide in one hit!!

Happy Crafting

Hi Monika. I know the images you are using! Love your card. I have seen it on the ATS&M challenge. Funny enough I have just been working with the same ones. My favourite has to be the little boy. You know the one….looks a bit like a young Lord Byron. Let me know how you get on. Y’know me, I love honest feedback to share with everyone. Looking forward to following your digi adventure.

Hi Florence. I know the one you mean. Thought of him as a young Mr Darcy!!! … but then I am not that glued up on English literature. LOL Hoping to get round to doing more this week, already started colouring the little girl with her cup of tea in. Need to get back to it later.
Look forward to following your digi adventure too.

Hi Monika. Thats the one. I am calling him Lord William. Everything has to have a name in our house 🙂 I have a project coming up using him inspired by Pip from Great Expectations. Keep an eye out on Thursday on ATS&M….you will love it. Just giving you the heads up there. Shhhhh!! he he.
          Take care,
          Hugs, Florence xxx
