A busy week ahead for posting. This is the first of three posts that I have scheduled. I have been busy doing some DT work with some more of the wonderful images from Nicecrane Designs and have to say I have enjoyed every minute of it. There is something very therapeutic about colouring images.
All of the cards have been made in the same way. I just printed the black and white images off on to cardstock and then coloured them in. I used inks from felt pens and DIs using a damp paint brush. I then just mat and layered the cards and added embellishments.
To use the ink from the DIs, just pat the ink pad onto a plate or a piece of plastic and there is your ink. You really do not need much. The same applies to using ink from felt tip pens.
For the first card I used one of my favourite image off this sheet.
As this was such a wonderful image I kept the embellishments to a minimum. The little bird with the glasses and the top hat reminds me of a sort of whimsical steampunk character so I thought I could get away with a few cogs and sprockets. Can you see the little fairy just peeping through the leaves at the bottom of the image. Soooo adorable.
These images are so beautifully detailed. The little butterfly is a silicon stamp from my own stash. There are some lovely butterfly images available at Nicecrane Design please click on the link to have a look. An even better idea, click on the search box on Nicecrane Designs website and type butterflies. I have just found some yummy images I hadn’t seen before!!
This was the most fun image to colour in. It isn’t until you start colouring these images in that you notice all the tiny detail.
I left embellishments off this card because I am sending it to a friend in the post. I don’t really think it needs anything. I did score the white card at the top to balance out the image. I thought it needed something there.
Ok, just one more.
I love the little toadstool dressing table on this. How cute is that!
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed your visit.
