Addicted to Stamps and More – Challenge 50

Hi everyone

This weeks challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More is a photo challenge.  The challenge is for you to take inspiration from the photo (shown below) provided and make your project.

To see full details of the challenge, the wonderful inspirational pieces by the DT and to join in the fun please click here.

I made my projects for this weeks challenge, taking inspiration from the photo and I used some pieces from a recent gelli plate session.  If anyone is interested you can see all of the pieces I made from the session here on my crafting blog

For the flowers I used some dimension paint and a stencil. To be honest the paint  is really old and has gone a bit “gloopy”.  After I applied it I blasted it with the heat gone to make it rise and bubble to give more texture.

A little close up photo

DSC_0060ATSThe dimensional paint on this one above was horrible so I painted over it with some black craft paint.

It was a case of splodging and splattering, a bit of stamping and then raiding Freddies shed for some bits and pieces.

The dragon fly on the card above started off green but it was lost on the backround.  To change the colour, I went over it with a versamark pen and then brushed some sparkly power over it.

Now then in case you are wondering what I found in the shed.  On the first card I added the small circles using a mask and some sort of filler which I think is used to fill in cracks in walls.  It dries great and really hard but the only thing is I think it has fibre glass in it so you need to be careful and you need to wear gloves when applying it.

The other goody I found in the shed was a roll of plasterers scrim tape.  That is the little white mesh.  Wonderful stuff.  It is self adhesive so I just cut it and attached it.  This is also good for stencilling.  It is really cheap product to use in crafting. Any DIY store or builders merchants sell this.  See also Screwfix.  If you are in Spain you can get this from any hardware store or supermarket for pennies.
