Card Making – ATS&M challenge 52

Hi everyone,

This weeks challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More is “Make Your Mark”.  This is always a popular challenge.  We are asking you to use your markers, felt pens or crayons on your project.  To see full details of the challenge, the fabulous inspirational pieces from the lovely DT and to join in the fun, please click on the link above.

Here is my little DT piece for this weeks challenge

I used another piece of card from my gelli session.  I used a stencil and relief paste to create my sun/flower thingy!!  I then coloured the dried paste (drys white)  using felt pens.  I started off using yellows, orange and then added the darker red and rubbed in the ink in to the paste using my finger. I gave it a quick spray of fixative to set it.

I used a normal childs stencil for the lettering.  I outlined it in pencil and then painted over it using black craft paint and added the white high lights.  I stamped the post mark in the corner using black staz-on.

I used scrim tape as a mask and sponged  some black DI onto the red base card.  I gave it a quick spray of fixitive to fix the ink.

I just mat and layered it all up.

Our very generous sponser for this week and for the whole of July is
Melon Headz Illustrating.   Do click on the link and check out their goodies.

Before I go I just wanted to mention that the new Addicted to CAS challenge will be coming out this Saturday the 6th July.  As some of you know it is normally every two weeks.   A slight change, just for this week.  I wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on the fun.

I apologize for late visits this week.  I am feeling a lot better now.  Thank you to everyone for your lovely e.mails and kind words.

Thats about all from me today. Tat tar for now.

WOW!! This looks amazing Florence, the combination of colours and textures is awesome. I bought some texture paste at a craft show recently and you have inspired me to have a go with it. 🙂 Cathy x

Gorgeous colors Flo! As always, I am in love with all of that texture. I’m sure it’s even more fabulous in person! That sun burst looks like it could just pop off of my computer screen it looks so realistic!
