Catching up with Card Making

Hi everyone….. Hellooooo! How are you?

I have had (like most of us) a busy few weeks.  We started off with a freak storm and floods luckily no damage just a lot of cleaning up outside,  my blogging pal Alison came out for a crafty week and then Freddie went back to the UK for a week.

Hopefully things will now get back to normal.  I promised myself I would neve say that again on the blogs.  As soon as it is out there something happens and I am normally on the back foot again.  Oh well!!

For this post I wanted to share some cards, which I am ashamed to say I did make quite a few weeks ago.  For these cards I used some fabulous digi stamps from Nicecrane Designs.

For the card above I have taken a butterfly off another Nicecrane Designs sheet which is shown below.

I coloured these in slightly different than normal because I wanted a water colour effect.  This is such a pretty image I think it could be used for all sorts of occasions, even Christmas.

This is my favourite digi  stamp off the sheet.  It wasn’t until i started colouring the image in that I noticed the little doll in the hedge.  How cute is that.  Seriously, how lovely.

I have made these cards all in the same way.  I printed the images off onto basic printer cardstock (cheap as chips).  I then coloured them in using some ink from some felt pens and a paint brush. If anyone has any question about these cards and how I made them please give me a shout via the comments.

Thats all from me today.  I shall be back over the weekend with some vintage lady cards and I shall be on my crafty blog with some more photos of the new additions to the family.

Have a wonderful weekend and happy crafting.

Florence, I absolutely love these cards…they are precious in every way!! I do so like the way you colored them in, and yes I definitely would like to know how you did it. Sometimes I have an awful time with the cardstock or paper curling when any wet is applied. You said you used felt pens and a paint brush…so I would love for you to elaborate. You did get a lovely watercolor effect. Also the embellishment pieces here and there and the card stock (?) you framed the pictures with make each card so eye pleasing.

Thank you for sharing your talent,

    Marianne xo
