Elegant Edges – Going back to basics

Hi everyone

My posting seems to have gone to pot today so I am starting again.

Everything that could go wrong with my first post as part of Chocolate Baroque DT did go wrong.  Don’t you just love days like that.

That is also my news.  I am so excited!!   As some of your already know, Chocolate Baroque stamps are one of my all time favorite rubber stamp brands, so you can imagine how thrilled I am to be joining the team.

I made these cards using the new Chocolate Baroque’s Elegant Edges.  This is such a wonderful set.  Definitely one to have in your stash.

To see how I made these and for full details of the stamps please click HERE for the Chocolate Baroque Design Team’s Blog.  Do check out the projects made by the wonderful DT.  So many ideas and techniques.

I have made the same style of card but just changed the color and and layout.

This stamp set is one of my desert island choice.  If I had to take one stamp set with me onto a desert island, this would be it.

This set would cover Birthday’s, Mothers Day, Father’s Day, Weddings, Invitations, Christenings, Easter, scrap booking and mini albums….every occasion.

Well that is all from me today.

Thank you for your visit, always great to have your company.

Happy Crafting

Florence your cards are stunning! I especially love the layout and colors of your last card! You have inspired me and I would love to use that layout on one of my cards in the future! Beautiful!

I agree with you about how versatile this set is. I love the background techniques & the way you gave the square panels a wide right hand border in the second one – very effective indeed. The way you picked out the aqua in the background patterned paper is particularly striking & I love the dragonflies joining in the aqua dance with their bodies. It’s lovely to see the long oblong final sample – not a shape seen much these days but very striking in that orientation. Your first card is delightful with its gingko theme running throughout the whole of the design. Again I’m struck by your matting adding wider vertical borders than horizontal which add such a good balance to the basically horizontal orientation of the whole design. The red & brown with the white is pure delight.

Hiya PF congratulations on being part of the CB team well done and well deserved. Stunning cards especially the first with its bold colors and design all three beautifully stamped.

Very nice, Florence…love the colors. Also the tree stamp cards are lovely. I really like the way you used the top of the tree to make the rooster’s patchwork…very clever and very striking.

Florence I am doing a happy celebratory dance for you – that is fabulous news. The fact you genuinely love their stamps must make this a dream DT for you.
Each card is brimming with elegance.
