Madonna and Child Christmas Card

Hi everyone

I hope everyone is well.

Today I would like to share a card that I would like to enter into the Addicted to Stamps Challenge – Make your mark.

FloLangleyCBDTSeptCC61CThe backing paper on this is one of my own which I printed off, stamped the ornate pattern onto and then embossed it.

For the main focal piece I stamped the Madonna and Child onto white coated card stock using black archival ink and then colored the image using jumbos felt pens.

I made up the card as seen just adding some gold circle thingies….not sure what these are they were on a roll.  I think they may be for wrapping.  Anyway, I attached them using a glue gun.

The little ornate boarder is a die cut which I cut out of black card and rubbed some gold wax over it.

Stamps used: Chocolate Baroque – A Child is Born and Dusky Damask.

Thank you for looking.

Florence x

Thank you to Kylie and all the girls over at the Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog.

Florence your attention to detail is amazing! Such a beautiful piece…love the row of gold circle thingies…they add such dimension and a pop of “bling”.

Your colours are astonishing! You perfectly created the effect of a stained glass panel – gorgeous.
The sun is shining today, got the windows open and I can hear someone cutting their lawn. Doesn’t feel like September.

Wow! This is amazing Flo. LOVE that you’ve printed your own background. I have just ordered a new printer / scanner and hope to try that out! Beautiful background stamp as well. The main panel is gorgeous. Not only a beautiful image of Madonna and child, but colored to perfection. Love the gold circle thingies 🙂 … and the ornate antique gold border at the bottom – very cool. I have been looking at the gold wax from Inka and think I need to buy it! 🙂 Loll xx
