Hi everyone
Today I would like to share a card that I am entering into the Crafty Individuals Challenge. The challenge theme is “Scenic Stamping” chosen by Coco. For this challenge I thought I would go with an Alice in Wonderland scene.
I started this card last night everything that could go wrong did!!! In the end about 5 a.m. I thought that’s it! I am off to bed. I wanted to do a one layer card and just build the scene up by simple stamping and masking. I finished my piece and then dropped my leaf stamp on it so I had to rescue it with a bit of fussy cutting. It just went from bad to worse but I had fun and I needed to finish this to enter the challenge.
Please click on the images to see the detail
I stamped and masked to build up my little scene. Please see below for the order of stamping and masking. Ok, the clock is the wrong way up…..one of the things I noticed when I had finished and was mat an layering but its Alice and anything goes with Alice. That’s my excuse anyway.
I colored my image with a water crayons and felt pen ink and fussy cut around the edges.
The background is a blue and green water color wash. I then stamped the flowers and leaves and butterflies and colored them in. To finish it off I just ran some DI inks around the edges.
The card is made up as seen. The front stamped panel is attached using foam tabs.
I stamped the Picket Fence image twice which matches up great but I didn’t want to take any chances so I stamped the clock image just slightly below the fence line so it covered the join.
Love this little girl image. She is so pretty.
Order of stamping and masking on the main panel
1. Cups and mask
2. Rabbit and mask
3. Little Girl and mask
4. Tea Pot and mask
5. The Clock and Mask
6. The Picket Fence and Garden Scene
Leave all of your masks on until the end.

Hi Flo! 🙂 I’m totally in awe in front of your brilliant card!!!!! It’s SO beautiful and SO lovely using these stamps you have cleverly and perfectly combined!!! I appreciate and adore every layer of your stamping, every detail is gorgeous, your colouring works so well and nicely and your masking is just PERFECT (what was wrong with the clock???… I see no problem, you were probably too tired to see that it was perfect at the end haha).
With my other hat on too, thanks so much for playing along with us and sharing your wonderful talent with all of us at at Crafty Individuals! 😀 Coco xxx
Forget to say THANK YOU for sharing with us the steps of stampin/masking, such technical details are generous to be shared and great to know I think… On cards a bit complicated to realize we often wonder how they have been made (at least as far I’m concerned I love to know the creative process, especially on gorgeous one-layer cards!) :). xxx
This is just amazing! I really, really love it! The quality, colouring, design and layout, wowza! Superb!
Wauw! what a beauty! Love the images and the colors. You did a great job creating this!
