Card Making with the Crazy Chicks

Hi everyone

Yey! It’s Friday.  Really looking forward to the weekend.

My hens have gone completely bonkers and have all started getting broody.  I was expecting some chicks to hatch out a couple of weeks ago but the mother hen left the eggs and they went cold but now I have two more hens are sitting so looks like we are going to have a ooodles of baby chicks.  Love this time of year.

So, today I would like to share a card I made.  A little bit grungy in style. Very inky but lots of fun to make.

To make this card I colored a piece of white card with Spray Inks and Distress Ink.
I stamped my image and then removed some of the ink, with a damp paint brush and kitchen paper, to create the high lights.
I gave everything a quick spray of fixative to fix the inks and a coat gel medium.

Thank you for looking.
Have a wonderful weekend.

What a fantastic card – love those patterned eggs, and the colours are bold and beautiful. Wishing you lots of luck and fun with all your real life chicks!!

I like the card, and the technique, great if you have only small pockets of time and small children around as you don’t need to pull out lots of stuff!
We hope to have chickens here too one day, might get them from my sister who possibly is forced to move to a smaller home and might not have space for them.
