Diamonds are Forever – Card Making

Hi everyone

This morning, yep it is 2 a.m. and still 28 C outside.
Will it ever cool down!!!

I am sitting here at the computer, melting, and thought what can I do.  I am totally pinned out so I thought I would share with you a card that I would like to enter into this weeks Craft Barn Challenge.  The theme this week is “diamonds”.

Ok, I am thinking Diamonds are Forever, Bond girls and espionge and fem fatale!  Strange how the mind works hey!!

Anyway, this is the card I came up with for the challenge.
I thought that the fabulous new Giovanna Zara Illustration stamp would be perfect for the Bond girl.

To make this card

Stamp the lady image and mask her.
Cover the unmasked white card with Distress Ink using a piece of Cut-n-Dry foam. Leaving the mask on the lady and using scraps of paper for additional masks, stamp the other images.
Remove the mask from the lady and color her in.
Using a paint brush, water and kitchen roll remove any ink, on the background, to highlight certain areas or text.
Stamp the sentiment onto a separate piece of card stock and trim to size.
Make up the card as seen.

Florence, I truly appreciate your temperature issues. We are having the same temps. At night it’s about 28-29.44 celsius and during the day we’ve been having anywhere between 38-41 plus! I used a converter 😉 But truly, I am looking forward to cooler temperatures whenever they arrive. Your card is very elegant, and the colors and theme are great.

Many places that do not normally have such high temperatures don’t have much air conditioning. I hope you have some air conditioning. I am always grateful for it this time of year.

    Blessings for you keeping cool,
    Marianne xox

What can I say, it’s so beautiful, and yes a pretty much James Bond feeling! Gorgeous background and colouring!

Here Downunder is the coldest August from 1945…so, pretty darn cold! I little bit envy your high temperature…:-)
