The Bear necessities of life….card making

Hi everyone

I hope your day is going well.

Today I would like to share with you two really easy cards made with the new stamps from Crafty Individuals.

I do love these bears.  There is something very nostalgic about them.  Do you think that is why we still love teddy bears as we get older?

I know I have mentioned this before about the two teds.  I love the fact that the image is so easy to mask.  No fuzzy edges or fiddly bits. Just Wonderful!

To make this card
Stamp the the teddy bears and mask them.
If you are new to stamping, to make a mask, stamp the bears onto masking paper and cut it out. Or, alternatively use art masking fluid
Stamp the floral background.
Remove the mask from the teddy bears and color the images.
Make up the card as seen.

I am very much into postcards at the moment.

I used coated card stock for this postcard.

To make this postcard

Stamp the bears image using Black Archival Ink onto coated card stock and mask them off.
Stamp the flowers and post marks using Distress Ink.
Remove the mask and color the bears.

Crafty Individuals Stamps used:
Two Teds CI 440
Floral Festival (139mm x 139mm) CI 443
Summer Meadow CI 385
Post Mark Sentiments CI 308
These would be a great alternative for the postmarks
Vintage Tickets CI 239 or
Vintage Tickets and Ephemera CI 307

Just a final thought for today.
I have used the Floral Festival stamp (link above) on the first card.  This is a large stamp 139 mm x 139 mm.  It’s great for card making, for journaling and it is absolutely fabulous.  Definitely worth checking out guys.

That’s all from me today.
Thank you for looking.
Take care and happy stamping.

  1. Hello Florence, what gorgeous cards, the teddies are gorgeous, and they do look like the older style of bear, I remember them well. Beautifully coloured and the background paper is so lovely. I love the simplicity of your second card, but love them both, hugs Kate x
