Hi everyone
It’s Friday already!!! Another week has flown by.
I have been playing with the amazing new Giovanna Zara Illustration Stamp. To be honest I am so addicted to these stamps. I just love all of the stamps in the range.
What crossed my mind the other day about these stamps is that they can be used for any age group. Now, if you are like me born in the mid 60’s or have daughters, daughters-in-laws, nieces or friends born around that time, 50 is fast approaching if it hasn’t arrived already.
So, with 50 in mind, I wanted to make a card, no butterflies or flowers, although I love them, I wanted something with a bit of glamour and bling to suit this age group and the occasion.
I also thought this card would work for Mothers Day or Valentines Day.
This is the card I came up with.
50 and fabulous!

To make this card
Stamp the image of the lady using Black Archival Ink and apply a mask using liquid masking fluid.
Dab some Seedless Preserves Distress Ink onto a plastic file wallet and spritz with water to dilute.
Just a thought, If you are using just Distress Ink, applied with a sponge, on the background, a paper mask will work fine.
Take your stamped piece of card and swish it in the ink.
Repeat this if necessary, drying between swishes.
Leaving the mask on, stamp the English script using Black or Plum Archival Ink.
Peel off the rubbery mask and color the image.
I used water color crayons for this project.
Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of white card stock and trim to size.
Make up the card as seen using pretty backing papers and embellishments.

Hi Florence, I noticed you’d left a comment on my neglected blog, thanks for that. I’m absolutely fine, things were just getting a bit hectic earlier in the year and blogging was the easiest thing to let go off. I haven’t been card making but I am sewing a bit now. Your card is beautiful and I can totally relate to it as I’ll be 50 next month. How on earth did I get to this age! Thanks again for thinking of me, big hugs! Xx
Morning Florence from a very wet Warrington. A gorgeous card and I do love the image. Gorgeous background and love the colours.

Stunning background! Love the flowers too! Great Job 🙂
Helo Florence, this is one beautiful card, I love the image and your lovely colours, the background is so pretty too, just love it, hugs Kate x
You rock, Flo!! Wow, this is so utterly elegant, with the silver hair, another amazing interpretation ( useless to say , I’m addicted to this stamp too, feel a little bit ashamed about it ;-))
A truly glamorous card, Florence. I like that her hair is grayish, it adds a charm and sophisticated beauty to it (though in real life, I’d love my original color back 🙂 ) The background, flowers, and trim add the perfect touch. Enjoy a terrific weekend, my friend. I’m back to work after three days off and lots of organizing for the move.
Hugs and love,
