Today I would like to share a card I made to enter into the That’s Crafty Challenge – Alphabet Soup.
I have been meaning to join in these challenges for ages. For some reason I seem to miss the deadline or something else gets in the way so this week I am on a mission to join in.
I thought I would be stumped at the first hurdle though. I thought the challenge was numbers! Don’t ask why. I have no idea where that one came from. So I made a card and was just about to link it up and I realised it was “letters of the alphabet”. My heart sank because I thought I have no letters or anything such like and then I remembered the visitors box. This is a box that all of our visitors leave reading books, puzzle books and the odd sock!!!
So that is what I used for the background.
A page out of a puzzle book which I painted with gesso.
A really easy card.
I stamped the puffin and colored him in and then coloured the background with Distress Inks.
I add a couple coats of spray fixative to keep all of the ink in place.
Thank you for looking
Thank you to That’s Crafty and the DT.
