Mountain View – Easy Card

Morning everyone

Today I would like to share with you a simple card.
It took 5 minutes to color and 2 seconds to stamp!
I really like the starkness of the stamped tree against the colorful background.

The background was created using Distress Ink and the positive and negative pieces of a sheet of copier paper torn in half
I placed a circle mask on the blank white card where I wanted the sun/moon to appear.
The Distress Ink was applied with a piece of sponge.
I removed the circle mask and stamped the tree using black Archival ink.
I mounted my stamped piece onto the base card using foam tabs.

Thank you for looking
Take care,

A lovely, serene card, Florence. The colors are very pretty and it all reminds me of very early autumn. By the way, I REALLY have to look into this ‘mask’ you are always talking about. It sounds phenomenal. Ah, so many “new” things to look into and discover.

Blessings for a wonderful day full of love,

Hi Marianne. Lovely to hear from you. Thank you for calling in. I have had a lot of comments and emails about the masking. There are a few different ways to use masking with rubber stamping. I am hoping, very soon, to do a focus on it in one of my posts, outlining the different ways, techniques and basic products used. I will let you know when I post it.
      Hugs Flo xx
