Hi everyone
I hope you are well and life is being kind.
Today I would like to share a card made for the Crafty Individuals November Challenge “Winter Frost”.
To see the inspirational projects and to join in the fun please click on the link above.
I went for a scenic card for this months challenge.
I colored a piece of white card with Distress Inks and then took a mask and a wet wipe and removed some of the color to create the background pattern.
I stamped the tree using Brown Archival Ink.
I took a piece of sponge, a piece of torn copier paper and applied some embossing ink and white embossing powder, randomly, at angles, across the bottom of the card and heat embossed it to create the snow drifts.
Don’t worry if you get stray grains of powder on your card, it adds to the effect of snow.
I then mat and layered the card up as seen.

Can’t wait to what you make for this months challenge!

GORGEOUSness!!!
What a great technique using the embossing ink and powder for the hill. I’d never have thought of doing that. Lovely card.
Beautiful card Florence. You have certainly captured that snowy scene perfectly. Hugs Rita xxx

Beautifully Crafted Card!! Absolutely Stunning!! The snow drifts are unbelievable 😀
Your card is lovely Florence I particularly like the watermark circle effect of your masking. Not much snow around in December in Australia, but I love your snowy scene.
Hi Florence, this is gorgeous, I love how you’ve created the snow drifts, love it all, Kate x
How beautiful Flo!.. And so cleverly done!! I’m always amazed by your ideas and your fantastic talent.
I love the white embossing at the bottom, perfect to create some snow indeed!
And the distressed and stenciled background is perfect.
Great card for illustration of our CI challenge! 🙂
Hugs, Coco xx
This is gorgeous Florence and I wouldn’t have thought to make the snowdrifts with embossing powder and it gives a fantastic effect. I do have these CI trees so must give this a go. Thank you so much for becoming a follower of my blog. x
Thank you so much Pat. How about joining in the CI challenge then? :). You know Pat I have been following your blog since I met you but I have only just realised that I can follow/join my friends blogs using my blogger account! I wasn’t the first in the queue with regard to brains!! 🙂

STUNNING design, Flo. Love that you kept the bg in mono and so that tree just sticks out and steals the show. Lovely winter themed card.
