Trio of Trees – Card Making

Hi everyone

I hope you are all well.

Thank you to everyone who left comments on my last post.

Today I would like to share a card made using one of the new stamps from Crafty Individuals and one of the images from their miniature images book People and Places 2.

Flo Langley CI May 16 Stamps 2 023AWMsm

For the main stamped piece, I have stamped the trees onto coated card stock using Archival Ink and then over stamped over this image with the script.  When the ink was dry, I then coloured the card with diluted Distress Inks.  Tip:  I find doing it in this order gives a better finish.  If you colour the base card first it can show through on your stamping and gives an ugly mottled effect on the image.

Once I had stamped my main image I just mat and layered lots of pretty papers, scraps and attached one of the fab little images from the miniature image book People and Places 2.  For anyone who follows my craft blog do you recognise Gary???  🙂  One of my all time favourite stamps ever is Clock and Steampunk Gentleman CI 305 which I lovingly call Gary.  Actually, seeing him on this image, he looks more like my bank manager! he he…..

Crafty Individuals Stamps used:

Tree Trio CI 453
Four Post Marks CI 124
1893 Script CI 214
Birds Branches and Cage CI 234

Crafty Individuals Miniature Image Book People and Places 2
I don’t usually say this kind of thing but….These books have 158 assorted sized images on 6″ square sheets.  I have put this info here because these books are fab and are on offer at the moment at £1.45!!!  Wouldn’t want anyone to miss out.  At this price grab them for friends as gifts or stocking fillers.  They are miniature images.
I have used them Here and Here recently.
The CI team have been using them recently and some of the samples can be seen HERE.

Thanks for looking

Take care
