Sitting On The Beach – Card Making

Hi everyone

I would just like to take a moment to thank my crafty friends who have been commenting on my card blog recently.  It’s been a busy month and I have had lots of posts.  Your visits and comments are truly appreciated.

Today I would like to share a card made with another new stamp from Crafty Individuals.  For this card I have just used 2 out of the 8 stamps in the set.

Flo Langley CI May 16 Stamps 027AWSm

I coloured the background with water colour pencils.  I tried using Distress inks but lost control of the colours.  I ended up with green where they merged so the pencils, on this card, was an easier option for me.
To create the clouds, I just took some of the colour off the card, with a paper towel, whilst it was still wet.
I stamped the deck chairs on to the background and then stamped the image again onto some pretty papers.  I then just cut out, from the pretty papers, the fabric seat part of the chairs and attached the pieces with glue.

Crafty Individuals Stamps used:

By The Sea – Multi elements set CI 454

That beachy background is brilliant, Flo … the layers and variations in colour on the beach, ocean and sky add such fantastic dimension … so tempting to take a spot in one of those cute paper pieced deck chairs! Hugs, Anita 🙂

I missed this post Flo, sorry for the delay 🙂
    It’s so gorgeous moreover!!! 😀
Just pinned it on my Crafty Individuals inspiration board… The idea of using this red dot patterned paper to replace the seat part is fantastic, I’m currently finishing something with these same two deck chairs not yet coloured, I think I’m going to study your (great!) option! 🙂 Hugs xxx
