Quirky ATCs – Stamping and Stencils (2 projects)

Hi everyone

I hope you are all well.

I have been having a play with the new Dinky stencils available at Crafty Individuals.  I thought these would be great as soon as I saw them in the CI news letter.  The size of the stencil and the pattern, which has been specifically scaled to size, is just perfect.  They are made from 350 micron Mylar and superb quality.  Really love them.  They even have a little hole punched in the top corner so you can pop them on a ring for storage.  I thought that was impressive!! 🙂  Little thing……

Here are a couple of ATCs I made.
They are not perfect and have slightly dubious stamping on them.

For the first one I used the star stencil.  I think, for me, out of all of the stencils I purchased and the ones that Jean sent over to me, this is my favourite.

I base coated a piece of  blank card stock and with some more paint stenciled the stars on the background.
I added a little bit of black around the stars so that they would appear a little 3D.
I then stamped the script.
To tie it all together and to give it a little pop I added the white paint splatters.
I stamped the puffin onto white card stock, coloured it, cut it out and attached it with glue.
I then stamped just the head, coloured it, cut it out and attached it with a foam pad.

I base coated the card stock and then using a stencil applied some paint which I had thickened with gel medium.
I stamped the flowers and roughly painted them.
To bring the background all together I added some paint splatters.
I added some shading to the stenciled pattern using a piece of foam and Distress Inks.
I stamped the duck and other images onto white card stock.
I cut out the ducks and attached them to the backing piece.
I scribbled “Unique” onto a piece of scrap card and attached it.

Very unusual images but they have make great ATC’s. The shadowing really does make those stars look 3d – I thought they were until I read your description!
