Sail Away – Card Making

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend

Thank you to everyone who left comments on my last post.

I still have visitors staying with me so this is another quick post and normal blogging will resume next week.

Today, I would like to share a card made with another one of the new stamps from Crafty Individuals.

Flo Langley CI JulyAugust 2016 Releases 005AWMSm

For the main focal piece, I coloured some coated card stock with diluted ink and then stamped the image with black ink.  It was just by luck that there was a nice yellow space in the top right hand corner for the sun and the seagull.
I stamped the image again and just used the sails this time and decoupaged them.
The card was made up as seen just adding bits of this and bits of that as embellishments.

Crafty Individuals Products used:

CI Background Papers Book 6 “Sea Side”
“Come Sail With Me” (sailing boat) Rubber Art Stamp CI 457
“Call of the Sea” (number 286)  Rubber Art Stamp CI 397

Thank you for looking.

Take care,

Flo x

Aw Flo, this really is truly wonderful card! The central image is what catches the eye and holds your focus, but what I particularly love about this one is that sentiment. You could almost miss it because it’s ‘just’ there … in the background. It doesn’t scream and shout and demand attention, but instead waits for your eye to land upon it and focus, … and then … it speaks to you. Not just in any normal sentiment way, but in a deeper way. It kind of reaches out and touches your heart. Beautiful Florence. Totally.
Sending hugs to your corner from mine ~ Cobs. x

Hello Florence, I am sorry I have not left a comment for a while. I have enjoyed looking in on all your wonderful cards over the past couple of weeks but not had time to leave a message. We are in full flow for the wedding in less than two weeks and the past few days have been helping our daughter pack up her belongings to move to her new home. With that and our own house move next month it is all a bit busy at the moment. I shall still pop in to take a look at your lovely cards but may not be able to stop around for long. Take care. Hi Pippa, Lovely to hear from you. You never have to apologise for not visiting or leaving comments Sweetie. I know you and my other blogging friends have really busy lives. The wedding! Gosh, that has come around quickly. It only seemed liked yesterday it was on your blog. I hope that everything goes to plan and you all have a wonderful day. Fingers and toes crossed that the weather is good. Good luck with the move.
      Take care, Hugs, Flo xx
