Time is of the essence – Card Making

Hi everyone

I hope everyone is ok.
Thank you so much to everyone who left comments on my last post.  You are always so kind and generous.

I am not sure where the last couple of weeks have gone.  Wouldn’t it be nice to freeze time occasionally or just say “stop for a moment”.  Things are still a little manic at home but hopefully in a couple of weeks things should get back to normal.  Famous last words….

Here is today’s little card that I would like to share.

Flo Langley CI Bumper pk July 2016 Cards 088AWMSmall

This is another card from the samples batch I made recently.  I really enjoyed making this and revisiting old favourites and mixing and matching the stamps.

The stamped focal piece is white coated card stock coloured with Distress Inks.
All of the images have been stamped with black permanent ink.
Lots of elements were cut out and decoupaged on this card and a little bit of masking.

Crafty Individuals Stamps used:

Clock and Steampunk Gentleman  CI 305 One of my all time absolute favourite stamps.Clock Maker CI 279
English Background Script CI 161

Just to share with my stamping friends:  Crafty Individuals have recently released some fabulous new stamps which can be seen HERE.

Thank you for looking.

Take care,

Flo x

What a lovely looking card. I love the blended blue colour to the ‘advert’ – it stands out and draws the eye,but at the same time the advert doesn’t scream ‘look at me’, or put the other images in the shade. There is a true talent in being able to do that.
A really great make Florence. Love it.

What a superb card – love the pop of dimension you’ve created with the images, and the colour palette is so gentle and soothing. Lovely! I know exactly what you mean about wanting to say stop for a moment!

Your card is a beauty and some of the elements are from a time that I would like to visit and expierience!
Would be fun to be able to stop the time…but what if someone else has a bad moment at that time?
You are right I have the same feeling that it all goes so quickly, for sure in the summer when you want to enjoy the sunny days… Hugs, Gerrina
