Memory Lane Town Houses – 2 Cards

Morning, morning.

I hope everyone is well.

A quick cheeky little post today to share a couple of cards made with Crafty Individuals “Memory Lane” rubber stamp set.  I have mentioned this set quite a lot on my blog recently and I have made quite a few projects with the country houses from this set so I thought I would share two quick little card made with the other stamp in the set, the town houses.

The next card is along the same lines but I added some script and post marks.

On both of these cards I stamped the row of town houses, masked them off and stamped the other images so that they would appear behind them.

The images have been stamped using StazOn ink and coloured with diluted ink.

Crafty Individuals Stamps used:

Thank you to all my crafty friends for your comments and kind words on my recent posts.  Your visits are truly appreciated.

I am taking a little holiday to catch up with work stuff so the next few posts will be scheduled.
See you in a couple of weeks.

Take care,

    Aw LOVE these cards, Flo!
My favourite is probably the first one I thinl . but not sure why. It’s just ‘me’.
Great clouds in that one too!

Don’t stay away too long or I’ll have to come in search of you!

Thank you Cobs. My favourite is the first one. To be honest I think I probably should have stamped the script in a very light great. It looks a bit over powering in this photo.
      Hugs Flo xx

Now see, I really like the script and (sort of) feel that it draws everything together and adds a certain something to it. Maybe it draws the different colours together and anchors them .. not sure, I can’t put my finger on it, but I really like it exactly as it is. It’s perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing. ~ Cobs. x

Ohhhhh. .. I’m an expert own worst critic. I’m forever saying to Mr.Cobs …”do you think this is good enough to post?” .. when I’m made something.

The problem is that we try to look at it as if we hadn’t seen it before, sadly we’ve made it and so we know where perhaps we would have moved *that* 2mm to the right, and *that* slightly lower down, and maybe would have used lace instead of ribbon and should have just used the one colour instead of two and on and on …. [sigh]. You’re right… we all are our own worst critics.

Hi Florence, these are gorgeous, loving the stamps. I have too agree we certainly are our own worse critics.

They are absolutely gorgeous!!! Great little scenes created, very lovely… I love them both with a little preference for the first one maybe, so cute and perfect!
Enjoy your little holidays dear Florence.

Your designs are always so clever Florence, and I adore those cute houses with the trees and birds, and then the postcard stamp on the second and the pretty pastel colours on the buildings. x

This is one set that I have been humming and hawing for yonks… One of the reason that stopped me is how fiddly cutting out a mask to protect the rooftops would be. But definitely worth it… And personally, the grey script is not too dark and/or prominent.
