Hi everyone
I hope you are all ok and keeping warm.
Today’s little card was made using some of the new stamps from Crafty Individuals.
I am not sure why but I am really into baubles this year. Maybe it’s a nostalgia thing.
I used a piece of my own script paper for the backing. Maybe the words executed at the top wasn’t the best placement!
I tore the edges of the backing paper and distressed them using some versa magic blue ink.
I used a piece of sheet music and added some dimension using a stencil and relief paste as the second layer.
I then painted the sheet music with white gesso and blue craft paint and added some random stamping.
For the bauble, I drew a circle with a tag on the top using an archival micron pen, cut it out and coloured it with DIs
I then stamped the bells, fussy cut them out and coloured the image.
The card was made up as seen using a few die cuts to add volume to the top of the bauble and foam tabs to attach the pieces to give a 3D effect.
Crafty Individuals stamps used
Festively Ornamental CI 465
French Script CI 017

Another beauty Flo. I really like the delicate colours and layers of stamping in the background in contrast to the depth of colour in the bauble and the bells. The texture looks good again too. Sandra X

Wow this looks so great! Love the blue (our tree is always blue and silver…) and all the texture! Hugs from a very cold, but sunny Nuenen, Gerrina
Thank you Gerrina. Blue and silver sounds lovely. I bet it looks so pretty.

Such a delightfully vibrant card, Florence! I love the colors and all the intricacies. Well done! We just had a cold front move through – so now it’s in the high 50s. We were having 80s here in SE Texas, USA. 😦 Not complaining, but not my childhood remembrances of Christmas season.
Blessings,
Marianne xox
Thank you Marianne. I think some times we have this image of Christmas as snowy but I was trying to remember how many times it did actually snow at Christmas when I was little. I can remember one or two times. We always used to hope for the snow to come in to make it magical.
Take care, Flo xx
I didn’t focus on the word until you mentioned it! Love the background, and how you have gussied up your bauble with a fancy collar, and well, the whole thing really!
Thank you Gillian.
