Valentines Tag – Shades of Blue

Hi everyone

I know…….no posts for weeks and then 2 in one day!

Here is the second Valentines tag.

The tag base was painted, stenciled and a little bit of stamped script added.
The focal image was stamped, cut out and coloured with some of the blue paint I used for the background which was diluted heavily with water.
All images and text was stamped with archival ink.

Crafty Individuals stamps used:
My Favourite Place CI 449  (using just the little girl)
Uplifting Words CI 258
Floral Festival XL (139mm x 139mm) CI 443 (just on the hearts)

Just to share:  I made a similar tag to this one using different colours HERE.

Thanks for looking.

Take care,

Flo x

Absolutely fabulous Flo. I love the colour tones that you’ve used and leaving parts of it white works really well. I really like your background too and your use of hearts as balloons, it’s fabulous. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

Truly Beautiful Florence. The little girls dress looks like an expensive, soft denim dress. Love it.

(p.s. … while I’m here … not sure if you saw the note I posted on one of your commets on my blog two or so weeks ago, about the felting machine? I promised I’d look into the availability, and I finally got to the bottom of it. If you didn’t see it, let me know and I’ll try and find it and give you the link) ~ C. x

Thank you Cobs. Denim was the look I was going for. Sorry, sorry, sorry, I have seen your comments about the reply to my question on your blog. I will try and find it. If, I can’t find it I will give you a shout.
      Hugs Flo xx

Aw no worries Flo. I didn’t want you to think that I’d forgotten, or that I’d not bothered. So long as you saw it that’s fine. You don’t have to go in search of it again. Don’t fret.

        Sending love ~ Cobs. x

Being nosy I saw you are interested in a felting machine I have one its Janome great fun but hardly ever use it. I got mine in the UK if you do buy it make sure you get plenty of replacement needles as I found they break easily Well they did for me anyway ) Love the little girl stamp in her pretty denim dress and such a glorious background too.

  6. Pat

I love this sweet little girl carrying the heart balloons and those pretty bubbles stencilled in the background and some bits of script too, and love the blue tones you have used Florence. x

Great use of this adorable stamp, love your tag! Fabulous shades of blue and it’s a so clever idea masking the little boy on the stamp and putting the strings of the heart balloons in the hand of the girl!
