Three Fishes Card

Happy Saturday everyone

I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend.

I was sorting through some old stamps in my stash the other night and thought I really must use some of these again. Then, by coincidence, I was catching up with Gerrina and saw that she had entered into the Viva Las Vegastamp challenge.  So, I thought I would have a nosy to see what the current challenge was and thought that looks fun.

So taking into account the theme I have got most of the colours, the stencilling acting as graffiti, stripes, dots, splashes…. Such good fun.

I stamped my fish, masked them and then coloured and painted the background.  I then removed the masks, coloured the fish and cut the holes out for the weeds to show through.

The cut out circles are a little over powering and not quite in the right place but it was fun to make.  If I had my time over again I would change the placement of the fish so I didn’t have such a large spaces.

Thanks for looking

Take care,

Flo x

  3. I hope you are getting my comments. For some reason your blog is asking me to log into WordPress which I have never had to do before. When I do log in the comment disappears so I am not sure if you are getting it or not!

    • Sorry you have been having problems Pippa. I think there are gremlins at work at the moment. The funny thing was that your comments went into pending as well which isn’t normal for someone who has commented before. This blog keeps logging me out and I don’t know why. Thank you for persevering. It is always lovely to hear from you. Take care, Flo xx

    • Thank you Gerrina. You hit the nail on the head with the old stamps. You are absolutely right. I started to look at some of my old stamps in a completely different way. Especially with all of the different styles and mediums that are available now. I am so glad I never got rid of any.

    • Thanks Valory. Hope all is well. I saw an idea for these holes in a book a few years ago but can I find the book now….put in a safe place somewhere. They did the job to fill the space! lol! Have a great week.

      • That reminds me of a mouse card that someone made; it was yellow cardstock with several various sized holes to make a Swiss cheese background! Happy Stamping to you too, Flo 🙂

  8. They are the coolest fish! I wonder do they need the piping as a snorkel, or are they smoking?! Great idea to cut the circles out of the background too. Have a lovely day. Xx
