Hi everyone
Another glorious day in the mountains. The weather is so strange at the moment. We have a high of 22 today and tomorrow it goes back down to 10! Mountain weather….love it! It is too nice to be indoors today so I want to get out and catch up with some work in the garden. Desperately behind with the early Spring clean up.
Anyway, back to crafting. Another quick post today. I do apologize for the erratic posting on the blog at the moment. It seems to be either all or nothing.
This is today’s little project. A little wrap card.
and for the inside
To make this
I stamped the flowers onto a piece of heavy weight water colour paper using a permanent brown ink and trimmed it so size and trimmed around the outside edge of the stamped flower image. When the ink was dry, I placed some yellow and peach coloured distress ink onto an acrylic block, spritzed it with water and swished the paper around, picking up the diluted ink and waiting for the ink to dry on one side, before I coloured the other.
I coloured the flowers with the same colours of distress ink using a paint brush.
I then scored the card as shown.
I stamped the text image onto a separate piece of pretty paper, attached this to the base card and added the star.
I attached a little button, with string threaded through it, to the front of the wrap using heavy duty gel medium. Strong glue or silicon would work as well.

Ohhh love this card Flo. It has a warmth and a love which seems to flow over it. There are details to it which make it so ‘you’. Had someone have shown it to me and asked me to guess who made it, I instantly would have said ‘Florence’.
It’s perfect.
Sending love ~ Cobs x
Awww! Thank you so much Cobs. Hope all is well.

Thank you so much. Gillian, did you know that your blog link doesn’t show up when you leave a comment? I am always happy to add blog addresses if I spot they are missing and I know where to find the blog URL and but thought I would just mention it. It just seems a shame that no one can link back to your fabulous blog and see your gorgeous creations.

No, I didn’t know that. No idea how to fix it but thanks for letting me know. I may have to speak to my technical adviser (big sister)!
Hi ya, I have just had a quick look. If you go into your dashboard and then onto Users and then onto personal settings. Look down the page and near the bottom you can add your url. I think your Gravatar can be done through Dashboard – Users and then My profile. I think!!!!! 🙂 Hugs xx
Nice shape, the wrap, I’ve never done one before and I need to remember this idea. I love the watercolour look too.
Thank you so much Christine.

A fun cardshape! And I love the colours that you used; they seem so perfect for this stamp!
I so wish you could come here and use my stamps…Think we could inspire eachother even more IRL!
The naked lady is from Stampinback, a dutch firm. I’will look for it at the event 1+2 april where they will be. hoping that they still have it… Think it is a timeless stamp…
Enjoy the changing weather whenever it is good; I still have to do all my gardenwork…so hope coming week will be a sunny one! Hugs, Gerrina
Thank you Gerrina. It would be a lot of fun crafting together Gerrina. You always inspire me with your projects. I do love that stamp you used. Thank you for giving me the info. We are still trying to catch up with work in the garden. Hopefully this weekend.
Sending hugs, Flo x

This wrap style card works really well too using this pretty new CI stamp Florence, and the restricted palette is just perfect for another very soft and gentle finish. I love the background when you open it up too. x
Thank you Pat. Hope all is well.
Hugs, Flo x
Another beauty from you Florence. That floral stamp is beautiful.
Beautiful wrap card, again such wonderful colours and such a clever design.
