Hi everyone
I hope you are all well and had a great weekend.
It’s been unusually hot here in the mountains over the past week. It is supposed to be cooling down over the next couple of days. We had the 3mms of rain yesterday that was forecast. You would have laughed. I had been waiting for it all week in the hope that it would wash away the pollen dust. It was forecast for 5 pm but came in at 4.45 p.m. I heard it, grabbed a cuppa and sat outside to watch and for a cool. It lasted for all of 3 minutes! Oh well, little things…… It is times like this that I think I really ought to get a life!!! 🙂
Here is today’s little card.
I am now coming to the end of the beach themed cards. A couple more and that will be it.
A bit of mixing and matching the stamp sets on this one with the help of some masking.
The images were stamped onto white coated card stock using different shades of brown Archival ink. Apologies for the photo.

Lovely card Flo!
Have a great week! Hope it’s cooler!
Alixxx
Thank you Ali. When it does cool down, does that mean that I will officially be a “cool dude”! 🙂
Hugs Flo xx
Hi Flo, it is a little cooler where I am but it’s quite humid, which is never good. I think we have rain over the next few days, so hopefully that will cool things down a little. It’s a lovely card with great stamping and the brown ink works ready well with the background papers. Crafty hugs, Sandra x
Thank you Sandra. Enjoy the cooler weather and the rain!! 🙂

Loving your card Florence, fabulous stamping and lovely seaside images. The sepia inking is brilliant for the vintage look along with the gorgeous papers.
Hope you cool down soon, Kate x
Thank you Kate. Always lovely to hear from you.

Love your card Flo and those slight variations in colour. Thought I’d drop in as I was wizzing past on my way to another challenge hehehe.
Still on that virtual moped then! You mind those speed limits 🙂 Always great to hear from you.
Take care, Flo x
So great how you combined the images! And by just the little difference in colour it gives a subtile combination to the background! Hope you have a bit more rain so you can breath easier… Hugs, Gerrina
Thank you Gerrina. Hope your week is going well.

Hello Sweetie. As soon as your comment came in I thought you would appreciate the effects of heat and the comfort of rain even if it was only for a couple of minutes. Always lovely to hear from you. Thank you for calling in. Hope all is well.

I seriously hope the bit of hot weather we had in the UK isn’t all of the 2017 summer! We had a bit of a storm and yes, it is cooler now with grey skies once again… harrumph… Meanwhile my mojo has upped and left and I haven’t been able to produce a decent finished item for ages. That includes the very bather you used on this card! I am considering CASE’ing yours, it’s simple, but it does show off these stamps beautifully…
Thank you Christine. I know what you mean about the old mojo. Mine has disappeared on holiday again. I am sure it must have frequent flyer miles!!! 🙂 I am always happy for anyone to case any project. I feel very flattered when anyone does. So please feel free. I am sure your mojo will return very soon.
Hugs, Flo xx
A beautiful vintage card Florence, great stamping, it’s cooled down a lot where I am and we’ve had a lot of rain.
xxx Hazel.
Another lovely card. The names of the sea areas in the top corner reminded me of how I used to love listening to the shipping forecast on the radio when I was young. There was something about the names and the voice of the announcer that appealed to me and as I’ve said I just love anything maritime! So thanks for the memory.
The background paper is beautiful and your brown inked images, which you have very cleverly put together, go perfectly over the top Florence. x
