Christmas Robin Wallet

Morning, morning.

I hope you all have had a wonderful creative weekend.

Thank you everyone for your comments on the blogs. I always read the comments and have seen a couple of questions and I will reply and answer them very soon.

Today I would like to share another Christmas project.

Apologies, when I made this a few weeks ago it was so hot the sticky taps pealed off quite easily….that’s how hot it was. Normally, you stick something on with foam tabs and you can’t move it for love nor money. Anyway, one of the robins came off and quickly popped it back on, not thinking about lining it up right. I then quickly took a photo and didn’t realise that they were a bit skew whiff!!! 🙂 Ya gotta laugh!

Inside the wallet/card

I used a die to cut out the basic shape, the cover piece and the inside page

The wallet opens and half of the front cover folds back on itself. If you look at the first photo, and imagine when the card is open the robins are seen inside the center of the card. Does that make sense?

Back view with the wallet closed.

Thank you for looking

Take care,

Hi there Florence, this is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully designed and coloured, I love the style of the card and wonderful images. Jean’s shows were brilliant and fabulous demo and samples, Kate x

Thank you so much Kate. They were brilliant weren’t they! I loved the demo she did with the house and joining them together with masking tape. Who would have thought it!!!
      Take care, Hugs Flo xx

      From Flo
If anyone missed Jean Hardy’s (Owner of Crafty Individuals) demos, that Kate is talking about, you can see them on playback on the Hochanda Craft Channel website. The shows where aired on the 14th July at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m UK time. Definitely worth grabbing yourself a cuppa and having a watch.

This is almost a gift in itself instead of a card; it is beautiful!
Love how you coloured the girls under the umbrella!!
Have a good week with lovely weather!

  3. Pippa

Great wallet card Florence. I think that top Robin is the one that make you say – there’s always one! It reminds me of trying to get a class photo with the Reception children, you can never get them all looking the same way at the same time!

  4. Sandra

I loved this one as soon as I saw it, what a clever idea. I haven made anything like this so many thanks Flo for the inspiration. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

Sweet wallet card, Florence! I like the robins and the image inside – and I especially like the soft way you colored the images. Cute story and makes one hope for cooler temps 🙂

    Have a great week,
    Marianne xo

Hi Barb, Thank you! Lovely to hear from you. It was really easy. Using a Sizzix tripple circle flip it die, I cut out 1. the red base card, 2. the polka dot front piece, 3. the inner cream panel. I cut three circles out of cream card and three circles out of polka dot card (used for the inside). I stamped just the head of the robin onto the three cream coloured circles and coloured them in. I then stamped onto the cream inner panel and coloured the image. I attached the polka dot panel to the front of the red base. I attached the stamped cream panel to the inside. I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the folded card and glued this in place just on the circles of the red base. I attached, with foam tabs, the robin head circles onto the red base circles over the ribbon. I then attached the red polka dot circles to the inside red base.
It wasn’t hard because the die cuts all of the pieces out for you.
It looks more complicated than it really was.

Sizzix Tripple Circle Flip It Die. I bought off Amazon. I have used this die a lot and pleased with it.

When I was looking for the name of the die, I noticed that a couple of youtube videos came up in the search.

So maybe they would be worth having a look at.

      Hope this helps.

      Hugs Flo xx

Playing catch-up (because real life demanded attention. How very dare it!)

LOVE this card Flo. (although I really should hate you for doing Christmas in July! lol)

I can’t see anything wrong with any of the Robins! The card is brilliant.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the stamped image of the little girls all under one brolly. In my head one of them is you, one is me … and I can’t quite decide which other blogging friend the third girl is.

    Fabulous card Flo. Beautifully designed.
Oodles of squidges ~ Cobs. x
