Hi everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend. Thank you all for your recent visits and for your lovely comments on my posts.

Not much happening here in the mountains. I spent this morning giving the chickens a manicure and cleaning out their pen. The little horrors and have been sitting in the nesting boxes for weeks.  We are not sure why. They are not particularly broody. Maybe it is the heat. We have also got 3 rescue chicks in the house. The mother just didn’t want to know. They are so cute but they do pong a bit!!

I am storm watching tomorrow. That is if it comes in. The weather men keep changing their mind. It will be lovely to have some rain….but not too much. We don’t want any floods.

Anyway, back to craft. Today’s card was a spontaneous creation. I spotted this little flower image in my stash and made the card around it using one of the new stamps from Crafty Individuals.

The blue frame piece was created using paint and a gelli plate. I then stamped the postage marks and added the orange paint splatters.  I deliberately only stamped parts of the background stamp to give it a more random look.

Crafty individuals Stamps used:

Vintage Postmark Background CI 481 (95mm x 137mm)
Crafty Individuals Miniature image books.

Thank you for looking.

Take care,

Flo x

Such a pretty card, Florence!! I love the blue with the orange accenting. I hope your storm watching is pleasant and nothing like what is being experienced in Houston Texas USA. Be blessesd,

Love it Flo, the colours you chose go beautifully together. Partial stamping suits it too, wonderful card. Hope the storms are nowhere near you. Being in Australia I really have no idea but seeing what people are going through overseas seems to be never ending hardships. Hope those chicks get settled soon mind you couldnt be much worse than my grandsons nappies that he seems to take such joy in filling on a regular basis xx Aileen

Well spotted… Brilliant design, very zingy!! Over here we’re having a sunny bank holiday weekend for once!

Incredible Flo. I love this one.
The addition of the Postage stamp marks seems to just bring the whole thing together and it works! I love the colours too. Orange isn’t something I normally work with – but your artwork has inspired me to give it a go.

I just love blues and orange together and here it feels like the flowerpanal just floats on the blue background; it is beautiful! Hope you just get a needed portion of rain and that is it… Hugs, Gerrina

Fabulous, Flo … the orange and blue are gorgeous together … and that bloom is just lovely! Hope you get just the right amount of rain … we’re in drought mode, so could do with some (overnight only of course!). Hugs, Anita 🙂
