Vintage Elements – Masculine Card

Happy Wednesday,

I hope you are all well and fighting fit. Thank you for your comments on my recent posts. I am a little late in replying but I do read everyone as they come in and they are very much appreciated.

A few weeks ago, I spotted some fabulous vintage car images over on the Crafty Individuals website and thought they would be ideal to make some quick “Mans” cards. My purchase coincided with the release of the new CI stamps so I thought I would combine the mini images and the stamped vintage images on the cards.

For the main focal piece, I used Distress Oxides (loving those) on coated card stock and then stamped just part of the postmark background image.  I attached my car embellishment.
For the car embellishment, I pasted the image onto a piece of card, gave it a coat of mod podge and trimmed it to size. This isn’t necessary but Its how I like to use these images.

Crafty Individuals stamps and products used:

Vintage Postmark Background stamp CI 481
Classic Cars 1 – Mini square images A4 glossy sheet
Distress Oxide Ink

Thank you for looking.

Take care,

Flo x

What a fantastic masculine card. I have heard a lot of people rave about the Distress Oxide inks. I am off to a craft show in a couple of weeks or so and will have to look out for some demos to see what they are like in the flesh so to speak!

Thank you Pippa. They are great for creating backgrounds. I still need to play around with them to see what else they will do. There are lots of You tube videos if you have to time to check them out. I am always extra cautious when there is a lot of hype about a product. It has to be something I use everyday or it has a million and one uses before I normally buy anything!! LOL! Enjoy your craft show.

A very lovely masculine card! Simple but beautiful.
And what a great change on your blog!! I can see all the work you probably put doing the presentation on all parts. Well done to you Flo, it’s very courageous.
I think I should follow your steps, but I miss time at the moment… Maybe later.
    Hugs again xxx
