Vintage Pages and Postcards 2 projects

Morning everyone,

Thank you for your lovely comments and kind words on my last post.

Today’s little project was made using the new postcard stamp from Crafty Individuals.

For the topper, I stamped the postcard onto some white card and coloured it with Distress Ink.  I then added some paint patterns using plastic tops and a wine cork.

I stamped the little girl onto a piece of card, cut her out and coloured the image. The little dots on the little girls dress were created using the end of a paint brush dipped into paint and then randomly dotted about. I attached the little girl to the postcard and then, using some paint and a damp brush, added some shadows behind her and around the edge of the post card.

For the base, I randomly brayered some warm white paint onto the book pages and added some paint patterns using plastic tops to match the topper.

The card was then made up as seen.

Crafty Individuals stamps used:

Vintage postcard CI 477
Wonder of Childhood CI 292

Just to share, the post card is such a great size. A lot of other CI stamp images work perfectly with it as well as the vintage children. This is a quick little make to show how the vintage ladies look on the postcard.  Some of the mini images from People and Places 2 also work well.

Fashionable Twenties Ladies CI 323 (5 ladies in the set)
Flower Heads 2 CI 445

Thank you for looking,
Have a great weekend.

Take care,

Flo x

  2. These are both great Flo, the little girl makes me think of dresses my mum use to make for us to wear when we were little. Love the elegance of the lady too. Both done beautifully.

  3. I love the way you’ve used the book pages on these cards – goodness know I’ve got a lot of old books around here that could be put to better use than catching dust! Both cards are beautiful.

  4. So pretty, Florence! I also see that my first comment today didn’t go through. I wanted to tell you that the seagull stamp worked perfectly as crows Andi loved the pastel colored tag with the variety of stamps. That worked beautifully… I think its my favorite of the day…cheery and would make a delightful bookmarker…Imagine opening the page to something so pretty! Have a lovely day…Blessings, Marianne xox
