Love Is In The Air Tag 3

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. Thank you ladies for your lovely comments and kind words on my last post.

The temperature has  now finally dropped enough for me to go into the work shop and fire up the machines. It has been way too long not working on anything.  I didn’t even break any blades.  So I am doing a little happy dance whilst typing this. Not sure how the finished project is going to turn out. It is in my crafting room at the moment waiting for the glue to dry before I can paint it. So, fingers crossed.  If, it turns out ok, I will pop it on the craft blog next week some time.

Anyway, getting back to paper crafting here is the last of the 3 tags I made recently.

The background of the tag was created using Distress Oxides and then stamped over using the same inks.
I stamped the couple onto a separate piece of card stock, cut them out, coloured them in and popped them on the tag using foam tabs.

Crafty Individuals stamps and products used:

Just Be My Friend Stamp set CI 402
Flower Heads Set CI 206
CI Blank Shabby Tags
Archival Ink Potting Soil
Ranger Distress Oxides

That’s about it for today. Ooo! just a reminder Jean Hardy (owner of Crafty Individuals) is demonstrating on Hochanda craft TV today at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. English time.  There are some fabulous stamps being featured on the show.

Thank you for looking.

Take care,

Flo x

Always enjoy seeing your work Florence, glad you are having some cool weather too. These stamps are so lovely, pity the budget has been taking a bit of a hammering recently. I have to be strong. x

Good day, Flo! I hope you are having a wonderful day. The colors in this tag are so wonderfully autumn. I am looking forward to cooler temperatures, as well. So far it’s dropped a few degrees. I like the way you added the book print at the bottom — it’s as if the couple is walking into their own story. You are so creative and I must have missed something, but your talk of firing up machines and such makes me wonder what other creative things you do. I’m looking forward to finding out.

    Sending hugs from Texas,

    Marianne xo

Thank you Marianne. That’s a nice way to put it “walking into their own story”! See you can tell you are a writer. The machines are my toys to turn and to cut out wood. I moved them into the house work shop last winter and this is really the first time I have had the time or chance to use them since the move. It is something that I just dabble in. Not very good at anything but I really enjoy it 🙂 And I still have all of my fingers after the weekends session! 🙂
      Take care, hugs

LOL!! That’s why I’ve never worked with machines. But it sounds like you are doing well with it, and I’m looking forward to your creations. I’m sure they’re wonderful – you love doing it and I know that will show in the pieces. Hugs, Marianne xo

You are indeed very creative with your colours and the printed piece at the bottom grounds the figures beautifully Florence and the butterflies are really pretty. Your background is full of interest too with the words and sweet flowers. x
