More Little Birdies – And back in blog land

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and life is treating you kindly.

Thank you everyone for all of your emails and kind thoughts. The deed is done. We have now moved and  I am now based back in the UK. I have to say it has been horrendous! lol!  Never moving again! A few more details of the dramas will be in my craft blog post.

Here is a quick card I made towards the end of 2017….yes that is when I last crafted. Can you believe it. Huge thank you to Jean and Malcolm over at Crafty Individuals for letting me take an extended break in DT duties.

Crafty Individuals stamps used:

Blossom Robbin CI 483  My own personal recommendation is flower heads 2 CI 445 to mix and match with the Blossom Robbin especially for creating Easter and Spring scenes.
Beautiful Cages CI 329

Talking about Crafty Individuals. Do look out for Jean Hardy on the Hochanda channel next Thursday the 29th March at 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. You know it is going to be good.

It is going to take a couple of weeks to get back into blogging full time but I missed everyone so much and just wanted to say Hi.

Take care,

Flo xx

  1. Welcome back Flo.

I have to admit that I’ve really missed seeing your posts and your lack of blogging was starting to worry me. I didn’t like to ask why you were missing as it can sometimes be for very personal reasons and I didn’t want to intrude. I am, however, thrilled that you’ll be up and running again soon.

Back in the UK….wow, that must have been a shock to the system as it’s been so cold here recently. I’m pleased to hear that you’re getting settled and I’m really looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful artwork. The card that you’ve posted today is a real beauty and I love the colours that you’ve used.

Take care, stay warm and have a lovely weekend. Crafty hugs, Sandra xx

  5. Hello Flo – WELCOME BACK!
Ohhh it’s so lovely to hear from you. I was getting worried. I’d replied to your last email, and then sent another email about 3/4 weeks ago. I don’t think I’ve ever been so relieved to see an old blogging friend appear again.

Hope all is well with everyone, and that the move was better than it sounds here in your blog post. However … having moved lock stock and what felt like smoking barrels myself a few years ago, perhaps I have an inkling of what your move must have felt like.

I’m so glad to see you back Flo.
Sending my love to you both. ~ Cobs. xxx

  7. Lovely card, a great association of stamps!
Moving from so far away will be a shock to the system, the change in climate for one… Hope you settle in soon. xx

  8. So glad the move is done! It is no fun to go trough all the things that you have, have to pack and move it and then find good places to put them so you can find them back and use them again…
Hope the house is a warm and fine one where you can stay for many years!
Love the combination of the branche and bird and the birdcage; they look so delicate coloured like you did!
Hope you are settled in soon and we will see you back in blogland more often :)!
    Enjoy your weekend! Hugs, Gerrina

  10. Moving is never much fun. I have just returned from a short visit to UK. It’s a beautiful place but the traffic – oh my! Of course you will get used to it and perhaps you live in a place where you don’t have to do much travelling. However, the important thing is you are back in Blogland and crafting again. What a beautiful card Flo. I love birds, must invest in some more birdy stamps. XX

  11. I had begun to wonder why you had been missing so long Florence and now I know why. I hope you have settled in well and that the recent cold weather hasn’t put you off moving back here. I love the bird and birdcage, just so pretty and the script and patterned paper go beautifully. x
