Celebrating the Robin

Perching Bird – New Stamp releases from Crafty Individuals.

Happy Monday everyone.

It’s going to be a busy week on both blogs. This one and my craft blog.  Crafty Individuals are releasing some new stamps. The stamps are truly beautiful and such a pleasure to work with. I do love nature and wildlife so these stamps are right up my street.

I am starting off with “Celebrating the Robin”.  This Robin is not just for Christmas.  I think the design of this stamps lends itself to a whole host of different cards, Birthdays, Retirements, Thinking of You, Just a Note, Thank You, Fathers Day,  or just simply “Happy Gardening Day”.  It would be great for journaling.

The main focal piece – I stamped the robin on to white coated card stock using Black Staz-On, placed a paper mask over the robin, stamped the script and created the bubble patterns. I then coloured the robin using a diluted ink and a paint brush.

I mat and layered the pieces as seen adding the die cuts and the sentiment.

If anyone has any questions about this project, please give me a shout in the comments box below.

Such a contrast from the one I just saw…colors are more muted and just as lovely. I like the way you can use the same image, but get such beautiful different effects just by the colors, shading, backgrounds, etc. you employ. Delightful to look at, Flo. Thank you for sharing…Be healthy and happy sweet friend. xox

Thank you Christine. The Perching Robin is a fabulous stamp. Truly. I wasn’t sure about it when I first saw it but then when I started using it I really didn’t want to put away. It’s gone into my top 10. Hugs Flo xx
