Perched Perfectly in Pink

Hi everyone,

A quick post today. My work benches for the craft rooms arrived last week and my darling husband has been busy varnishing them for me. I am hoping they will all be in situ this weekend. I still think my craft room will be messy but aren’t they supposed to be? Mine is never tidy for long.  My sewing room however is nice and clean and neat. I’ve been working on some digital art for that room. I’ve tried to make the artwork look like vintage Theartre posters. Well that was the idea behind them. When those are finished I will post a smaller version on the craft blog. Just a couple of small shelves to put up and the sewing room is finishedish. Yey! I can’t wait to get sewing again.

Anyways, here is the card I would like to share today.  Another one made using the “Perching Bird”. By the way thank you so much everyone for your visits and comments on my recent posts. It has been busy on the blogs. You are all so kind and generous with your time.

This is another one where I tried to match the background of the topper to the CI background papers.

I used white coated card stock for the topper and the image was stamped with Black Staz-On.

I coloured the background with diluted Distress Inks and stamped the Robin. I added a little more pink to his head but left the rest of his body as the background colour and coloured in the tree stump.  I put a paper mask over the robin and then added the stencil patterns and black splatters. I gave it a quick spray of fixative, to give it a glossy finish and then just mat and layered.

Thank you for looking.

Have a wonderful weekend.

He’s my favourite, no questions, and I love the splatters on the background, they look like rain and do complement the image very well.

Another super card Flo and the stencil works really well in the background. I love the little birdie in those girly colours x
