Shades of Blue – Best Wishes

Hi everyone,

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments on my recent posts.

This week is flying by. I can’t believe it is almost the weekend again. The nights seem to be drawing out at last.

I am a little bit busy doing jobs at home at the moment so I have decided to schedule some posts over the next couple of days. They are only going to be short posts with a project and a short description.

Here is today’s project which was made for Crafty individuals recent show on Hochanda.

For a lot of the recent makes I have tried to match the topper and embellishment colours with the backing papers.

The image and sentiment was stamped onto coated card stock using Distress Inks. I used the same ink to colour some water colour paper and then used  die cut to cut out the flowers.

Crafty Individuals Stamp: Venezia Bird CI-180. Sentiment “Every Day Curly Words” Linda Edwards CI 464. CI A4 Backing Papers – Floral Festival.

Thank you for looking. Have a fantastic weekend.

Flo x

Beautiful card love the colours so much so that I have just ordered the papers and stamp. You have managed to match the colours of the stamping so well with the papers. I don’t know if mine will be as successful but will give it a try. x

Hi Beverley, Thank you so much. I am desperately trying to do soft colours. I love anything folk art. You know bright bold colours. Always have so soft pastels is a battle for me but I am getting used to them now 🙂 Hope all is well. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs Flo xx

You’ve done a wonderful job Flo matching the inks that you’ve used with the backing paper. The bird that you’ve stamped looks superb x

Thank you so much Gerrina. The weekend looked promising but it is a bit over cast today. I wanted to get into the garden but I’m cleaning carpets instead! Maybe get some vitamin D next week 🙂 Wishing your weekend is full of sunshine and fun. Hugs Flo xx

Oh no! Hope you are feeling better soon. Sounds like the guineas have settled in nicely 🙂 I’ve not see the midwife. Another friend was talking about it the other day. Will have a look to see if I can watch it some how. Stay warm and cosy. Hugs Flo xx

As far as I can see this is as far back as I can go due to comment closure. The colours in this are matched with the background so perfectly Flo, you have done a fabulous job, and I love the added die cut flowers, and the large sentiment finishes it excellently. x
