Owl Duo

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

We had a really great time with friends last week. They came to visit my darling man for his birthday.  From the minute they arrived to the time they left we laughed. I think we saw more of the Island in a few days than in the whole of last year. So much fun.

Today’s card was made using one of the new stamps from Crafty Individuals. They are now on the CI website if anyone wants to check them out. I am giving them a big shout because they are at the introductory offer price at the moment. If you do go and have a look at the stamps, do check out the pretty papers as well. The photo on the web doesn’t really do them justice. The papers would be fabulous for making gifts and cards with for Christmas. I did cover a book with part of one of the papers which can be seen here.

Right, back to today’s card

Really easy card to make. Lots of layers.

I stamped the Baroque Splatter Script background using Archival Ink onto coated card stock. I stamped the owls onto coated card stock using black Stazon, coloured them and cut them out. I then made the card up as seen using foam pads to attach the owls and give them a 3D effect. Sorry the photo doesn’t show it up very well.

Thank you for looking.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Flo x

Absolutely gorgeous card Flo, the background works so well with the owl image, love how you’ve placed them together. Beautiful colouring.
It’s always good to have friends whom you can laugh with, pleased you both had a great weekend Kate xx

Happy Birthday to your “darling man” and I’m happy you and your friends had a good time together. Laughing and enjoying company is such a blessing. This is such a pretty card, Flo. I like the double owl image, and I agree with “anonymous” – the background works beautifully with the owls. Next chance I have, I may check out CI website to take a look at their paper. Thank you for the suggestion and sharing your lovely cards.

Gorgeous owls Flo! There’s a few like that at animal rescue where I volunteer. I’m always sad to see birds in enclosures.
Hope you’re having a great week,

Thank you so much Ali. Oh, me too. Much nicer seeing them flying up high. Mind you if they fly too high I don’t know what they are. Eye sights not that good any more!! 😉 Hugs Flo xx

I like those ears of this owl and they look great together! Again the colouring is beautiful aswel as the colour and backgroundstamp! I think it is a feast to stamp and colour these birds…
So good to read that you took time to enjoy and have lots of laughs; that makes life so good! And gives new energy! Hugs, Gerrina
