Thank you all for your comments on my last post.
As you know, I have been busy crafting, over the last few of weeks, making projects up using Crafty Individuals fabulous new stamps. Some of the artwork for the new stamps has been created by Crafty Individuals’ very talented Design Team Member Dora.
There are four new stamps. I really, really like them all but my favourite is the Steampunk Butterfly stamp. I can’t help it. I just love it. It’s just such a versatile design. Having said that, there is the one with the horse….Mmmm and then the one with the bird with the branch! Yep, they are all lovely.
I didn’t make a lot of cards this time I went for extra large tags for my samples. Not sure why. Just to change it up a little I think.
Crafty Individuals Stamp – Fly and Be Free CI 517
The image of the stamp is from The AABCD on the left hand side over to the end of the cogs on the right hand side. I restamped a little, added some script and some extra circles to either side of my main image to make the design larger for my extra large tag.
The base card was coloured with orange, yellow and pink inks. I then stamped my main image and then stamped randomly around it. To make the circles I used some bottle and pen tops dipped in black paint to match the design of the stamp. I added a bit of black ink to add shade to the circles. I used white ink and drew the lines on the cogs to make them stand out a little and splattered some white paint everywhere. I coloured a small piece of card with ink, stamped the butterfly and decoupaged it on with foam tape. I then mat and layered my stamped piece onto black card. I used a small circle die to make the hole in the tag because I needed it large enough to thread all of the material and fibers through.
Thank you for looking.
