Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well and life is treating you kindly. Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last post.
Today’s card is another one made for Crafty Individuals. If you managed to catch any of the CI shows on Hochanda this past week, the stamp set I have used for this card was featured in those.
Really straight forward. I stamped the dragonflies on a piece of cream card and cut it down to size. I stapled the book page piece, pretty paper piece and lace to the stamped piece and than attached it to the base card. I stamped and flowers twice on a piece of card, coloured them, added the script and coloured the card with DIs to age it. I then attached this using foam pads.
I purchased this stamp set a long time ago and really love it. It’s called “Butterfly Mornings and Wildflower Afternoons” CI 410. I have mentioned this before, in a previous post, the stamps in the set are so beautifully vintage English Country garden. There are the flowers, 2 x dragonflies, flower wreath, a bee, a butterfly and even a little script stamp that reads “dragonfly days to dream in”. The script is only small but you can multi stamp it as many times as you like to cover larger areas. Really is scrumptious…..Truly! Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is now ringing in my ears. 🙂 Make it stop!!!!! Yooooou toooooo can hear it HERE. LOL! Nice to share hey!
Just to share with my stamping friends. If you do have a look at this stamp, I did cut the dragonfly out of the flower circle wreath. I found that made it more versatile. I also cut the half circle off. I can still stamp the dragon fly in the wreath if I want to or I can use it on its own. I cut the half circle line off, in straight cuts. I can stamp just the half circle of flowers say, to create a border or I can match these two pieces of stamp up, on my stamp block and stamp the whole image. I used the floral wreath stamp HERE on this tag a couple of years ago.
Thanks for looking.
Have a great weekend one and all.

This is so so pretty Flo and love the country garden feel with the lace and book script and the softly stamped dragonflies in the background, and also the soft bit of script stamped to the right of the flowers. x
