A Dogs Life

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your lovely comments on my recent posts.

Another card today made using a couple of the new super duper stamps from Crafty Individuals. These are the new designs by Ellie Mulligan. The new stamps aren’t on the CI website yet but will be appearing soon so keep an eye out for those. A quick way to do this is to go to the CI website and on the right hand side there is a box that says new products. That’s where they will be. Saves you searching for them.

I stamped the dog, masked him off and then stamped the flowers behind.

I used black Staz-on Ink on coated card stock and then used diluted ink to colour.

Oh, the background was coloured with distress inks and a few drops of water.

I don’t know why but this card reminds me of Mary Mungo and Midge.  Yes, I am that old!! 🙂  Does anyone else remember them?

Thank you for looking.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Flo x

Hi Flo, another beautiful card with lovely colours and background, hope your weekend is going well, Kate x x

Love your card, the colours are beautiful. I get what you mean about Mary, Mungo and Midge! I expect it is the memory of the opening where Mungo pops up behind the window box of flowers!! Yes I am that old too, though a little too old really I did like watching it in the holidays!!

The dog looks great surrounded by all the flowers and love the coordinating blue background and such other pretty colours Flo. I had to look up this children’s programme and play a bit as it is not one I had heard of as my time was more Bill and Ben..lol. There was a later programme which was more my son’s era called Crystal Tipps and Alistair and that dog sprung to mind but I think Mungo has more the look of this dog…lol. x
