Mans Best Friend – Card Making Zentangle Dog

Hi everyone,

I hope you have had a great weekend. Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last post.

Should be an interesting week!  I hope you all have an enjoyable one.

Another share today, of a card I made with the new stamps from Crafty Individuals designed by Ellie Mulligan. Same stamps as I used in my last post but just different colours.

I used: Coated card stock white, staz-on ink Black and coloured with felt pens and distress inks.

When I started making this card, I had just bought some new quilt covers, “the strawberry thief” ( I love them), and I thought I would try and get a William Morris-esque look with this card.  Ok, not quite WM but I do like the look I got. Which is unusual for me to like anything I make.

He is decoupaged but you can’t really see it on the photo  so I am adding the next photo. I have added white dots to show where I cut the pieces out to build up his face but you can use any of the pattern lines…..Aww such a great image.

Thank you for looking.

Take care,

Flo xx

  1. I think we are our own hardest critics…don’t know why you should with this one and most of your work; I love and enjoy it!!
On this one the contrast between cool and warm colours is so good; the dog pops without overpowering the total look of the card; it looks beautiful! Hugs, Gerrina

  2. Love the colours you have been using on your dogs. Not sure if my comments on your other cards are showing up I am having some technical issues! I hope so. I get the Mary, Mungo and Midge reference even though I was a bit too old to watch it really!!

    1. Thank you so much Pippa. I have the comments on moderation at the moment. I had a few issues. I didn’t want to turn them off completely. That is probably the problem. I have had a couple of duplicate comments in from friends. Sending hugs Flo xx
