Hi everyone,
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all well and have something inky, painty and creative planned for the weekend. I think we all need a few distractions again at the moment.
This weekend, I have a few things on my list to try out and I have a few things that I need to make. My list, of my own crafty projects, to make is growing as well. Really need to organise my time better. I seem to have got into a postion where it is all or nothing and then it gets harder to get motivated with my own little bits and pieces. Maybe I need to make a list and have a cuppa…. 🙂 Let me know what you are making or what you are thinking of making. Have your tastes or styles of crafting changed over the last few months? Have you stopped crafting?
Back to todays project. I made this card recently for Crafty Individuals Hochanda show. Its a lovely stamp this one. An old favourite “A Bird On A Wire” CI 287.

I stamped the images onto white card stock and coloured with distress inks. I then added the white lines using a nib and white acrylic ink.

This is another card using the same stamp set and the new CI Wonderfully weathered papers.

As a whole

I love the birds on a wire in this set. Really useful to have.
Well that’s about it from me.
Thank you for looking.
Flo x
Absolutely gorgeous cards Flo, I love trees so this is just right up my alley. Wonderful col ours and design on your first card and I love the addition of the birds on the second card.
I’ve been crafting less, I don’t need so many cards now, except for the Christmas ones, so still doing them throughout the year. I’m now doing more colouring in adult colouring books and watch videos to learn colouring techniques. I’m loving it and there are so many fantastic colourists out there and wonderful books.
Hope all’s well with you and yours, keep safe Kate x
Hi Kate. Lovely to hear from you. I was so impressed with your colouring and the books you are using. They are beautiful. The bright colours on the dark background reminded me of my love of folk art and roses and castles and whimsical work. It actually gave me the answer to a few creative questions I was asking myself at the time. Funny how these things happen. The books are obviously giving you joy and letting you follow a creative journey with the techniques and colour. That’s wonderful. Look forward to seeing more on your blog. Take care, stay safe, hugs Flo xx
Sun rise and sun set…Beautiful!
Thank you so much. Lovely to hear from you. Stay safe, Hugs Flo xx
More stunning cards Flo. I especially like the one with the coloured background, it’s gorgeous. I’ve been busy making a few Christmas cards today and we’ve just got back in from a lovely walk with our daughter and her family. You can’t beat a walk in the woods at this time of year, the colours are amazing. Take care Hun and enjoy the rest of your weekend 😘
Thank you so much Sandra. Gosh, you are packing a lot into your weekend. It is such a beautiful time of the year with the colours changing. Totally agree you can’t beat a walk in the woods. Take care, hugs Flo xx

Thank you Ali. Lovely to hear from you. Hugs Flo xxx
I love your trees… the colours remind me of Helen’s (Chilton) work! As to my own crafting… I have down periods where I can’t seem to be starting or finishing anything… I too have a long list of projects I should get on with, albums, scrapbook pages, deco items etc… This whole Covid thing is starting to bite hard on the morale I think.
Have a great week, Flo!
Hi Christine, Great to hear from you. Hearing from friends, We all seem to have been in similar positions and feeling the same over the last few months. I’ve realised, for me, I can’t get going on things that no longer give me joy creatively or fully interest me. I hope your creative mojo returns soon. Maybe a new direction is what’s needed. Take care, Hugs Flo xx
Love that paper, and the card is brilliant. I love trees and you have certainly bought them to life!
Fantastic cards as always. Those papers work a treat with the silhouette tree stamps.
Wow Flo the trees all grouped together and coloured in those bright distress inks are stunning and the second with the pretty birds on the wire with more wonderful trees in blues this time and with more neutral wood effect background paper is beautiful too. Your designs are always so interesting. x
