Exotic Birds in box

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.

As mentioned in a previous post, Crafty Individuals are launching their new stamps on the Hochanda TV Craft Channel this morning. The show times are 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. UK time. The new stamps have been designed by the very talented artist Ellie Mulligan.

My first project to share features the new stamps the Flamingo and the Toucan. The stamps will be appearing on the CI website in a couple of weeks time.

I used a box frame die to cut out the little box and painted with craft paint to match the CI backing paper I used for the base, inside of the box. I stamped the images onto some coated card stock, coloured them with diluted Distress Inks and a paint brush cut them out and attached them with some foam pads. I used some painted floral die cuts as embellishments.

The detail on these stamps is exquisite.

As you can see I added a bit of glitter. As usual it went everywhere. When I took the photo I hadn’t realised that the loose glitter was still everywhere so apologies. My eyesight is not what it was.

Just to share: I’ve usd a box die for this project. However, I found this brilliant little youtube video HERE which shows how to make a frame. Very easy to make. 6.42 minute video. Grab a coffee its worth watching. Again, I have used die cuts for the flowers but you can use punched flowers, hand drawn and cut out flowers or any embellishments. These are just ideas really.

I will be posting some more samples over the next fews days.

Thank you for looking.

Lovely surprise! Hope all is well. Waving at you!!! πŸ™‚ Thank you for your lovely comments. They are sizzix dies. The small leaf spray across the top I think is a Sizzix thinlets die 664361. The tiny flowers are from tattered florals 661806. Both of those are really useful die sets. Not sure about the leaf at the bottom. Its a thin die and peach coloured metal. I’ve had it for years and I have thrown aways the packaging. Hugs Flo xx
