Spring Scene Mothers Day CArd

Helloooo to anyone who maybe calling in.

I hope you are all well and having a lovely week.

I haven’t joined in a challenge for such a long time and there are a couple that seem quite fun. I do like challenges. I think it takes you out of your comfort zone. A bit of fun mad panic. I am hoping to join in the We Love Chocolate Baroque challenge. Not sure how you add a link but I will try. I remember years ago, I think it was the Crafty Indiviuals challenge I added a link about 3 time and failed every time but showed my name!! I felt such an idiot but after the year we have had I don’t really care anymore. Anyway I hope it works.

Challenge – February Flowers Butterflies or Birds.

Stamps used: CB Spring Bird Crocus (I do love this little bird and nest stamp) and Home Sweet Home.

The images were stamped onto coated cards stock using Stazon and coloured with diluted ink. The card has been made up as seen with the little bird and nest added on last and attached with foam pads.

I hope no one notices I didn’t put the mats on straight. Never using dotty paper again.

Take care,

Flo x

This is so beautiful Flo, beautifully designed and coloured, the song bird is lovely and I love how you’ve positioned it just out of the scene. Keep well and safe Kate x

Well well well, we really do need a catch-up! Often wondered how you are especially after the summer of Greece finance crisis. Seems you are now in the UK? For me there was a good 2 year break when I co concentrated on making jewellery. Came back to paper craft a year ago. Can see from this card that you are still making awesomely fabulous things. Brenda at “We ❤ Choc B.” will love you card it is right up her street. Take care, stay safe and HAVE FUN x

Hi Zoe. We do need to catch up. It was our Marie that was in Greece. I was in Spain but now on the IOW. Marie is still in Greece and all is good. She is busy with her jewellery business. I am still in touch with her. Can’t get rid of her if I am honest!! LOL! I knew you had had a break and was making jewellery. oh, we did have fun didn’t we. Well we did. You had the hard work of running the challenge. I hadn’t realised you had come back to paper crafting. It was just so strange. I really was thinking about you and there you were joining in the challenge. Take care, Stay safe. Hugs Flo xx

This is so beautiful and reminds me of spring, absolutely lovely. I have only ever put 1 one card in for a competition, but I have put some on the makers shared Facebook pages and won, but I would like to add to challenges as you are right, it does push you and then you fill amazing at what you can do! Good luck with your challenge, I am sure you will win!

Thank you so much Kim. I don’t think I will win as there are some amazing entries in these challenges. They are really good fun. With sticking to a theme and then with the time limit it makes you quickly focus on something and maybe think outside the box or try a new style or technique. A great way to clear creative blocks. Its also a good excuse just to make something for fun. Always lovely to hear from you. Take care, Hugs Flo xx

Hi Flo, your card really speak about Spring and love that CB bird on his nest, how sweet! The landscape with the house is adorable too, a super creation and love the colours!
I have never seen that you didn’t put the mats on straight if you haven’t noticed! We all always blame ourself, isn’t it? 😀
Thanks very much for sharing your lovely work with us at We Love Chocolate Baroque challenge!!

Oh no… crooked mats…first thing I saw!! (not) Anyway I have great difficulties in getting things straight on my makes so I sympathise. A lovely whimsical scene and so serene in those shades of green.
And you do have a chance to win as it’s Mr Random who chooses the winner… (I won recently BTW, CB have lovely stamps!)

This is gorgeous Flo and the dotty paper makes a wonderful backdrop to the sweet bird on her nest and the pretty stylised house and countryside scene. I have just seen that you are going to be the GD for April … congratulations and I look forward to seeing what you make. x

Thank you Pat. Great to hear from you. It was a lovely surprise. Unfortunately, I have no way of contacting Brenda so I am not sure I will be able to do it. Hope all is well. Hugs Flo xx
